Sarnia Police say youth broke into building, stole items, resisted arrest

Sarnia Police say when they responded to an alarm in the early hours of Tuesday (Jan. 29), they found a 17-year-old youth from Kettle Point inside and in possession of goods valued at more than $115, incljuding magazines, refreshments and snacks.

The youth, who was said to be carrying a steel bar and clothed in black (including gloves and a black shirt over his face), is alleged to have resisted arrest, including spitting on an officer, in the process of being subdued by police.

He faces charges of Breach of Probation, Mischief Over $5,000, Possession of Break In Tools, Break and Enter, Resist Arrest and Assault Peace Officer.
