Significant cache of stolen property recovered

Lambton OPP continues to investigate following the recovery of close to $30,000 dollars worth of survey equipment stolen earlier this week.

On Jun. 19 a company pick-up truck was stolen from a business in the 3000-block of Churchill Line in Enniskillen Township. The survey equipment was in that truck. The truck was recovered later that day in Chatham-Kent area, but the equipment was not with it.

On Jun. 20 an officer went to a Huron Street residence to speak to the resident on another matter.

A 22-year-old male person known to police ran from the home and disappeared. At that time, found in plain view was the stolen survey equipment. Also found was a small quantity of suspected marihuana.

The man is being sought by police for his involvement in this matter.
