Sting make two deals, including acquiring Taylor Carnevale from Windsor

A much rumoured deal has finally come to fruition.

The Sting sent three draft choices to Windsor today for overage centre Taylor Carnevale.

The 6', 190 lbs centre racked up 35 goals and 35 assists split between Barrie and the Spitfires during the just concluded season and added 18 points in 18 playoff games with Windsor.

“Its an exciting day for the organization to acquire a player with the skill level of Taylor.  He is a dynamic forward who put up big points last season, said Sting Coach and General Manager Jacques Beaulieu.

“Combined with the elite level forwards we already have on our roster there is no reason to believe he wont put up even bigger numbers this season.  We’re instantly a stronger team five on five but also Taylor will make our power play that much better as well.  I think our fans will be excited to see Taylor and what he can bring to the table.”

In a separate deal, the Sting acquired 19-year-old rearguard Patrick Harrison from Kingston for future considerations.

Harrison played 55 games last season with the Fronts, registering a goal and two assists. He was a plus 6 on the season.
