Students from Sarnia Christian School help clean up neighbourhood

Students from Sarnia Christian School recently did their part in honour of the annual environmental celebration, Earth Day.
Students in grades 1–8 spent an hour tidying up the schoolyard, Howard Watson Trail, as well as neighbouring streets, including areas behind businesses on London Road. Even members of the community joined in the clean-up, helping to fill an entire dumpster of waste from the neighbourhood.
“We will actually be going back to finish the job sometime in the next two weeks,” said Vice-Principal Helen Strybos. “There was so much garbage…Several students kept saying how awful it was that people made such a mess of God?s world.”
“There was a ton of garbage out there,” said one student. “It was a lot of fun helping out,” said another.
Sarnia Christian School has made „spring cleaning? in its neighbourhood an annual event, and encourages everyone to take a few moments out of their busy days to keep Sarnia looking beautiful.
