Summer Jobs Centre getting ready to open at Lambton College

summer job photoIn what has to be a sure sign that summer is on its way—eventually—there's news that the Summer Jobs Service Student Centre will open its doors on main campus at Lambton College on Monday, April 1, 2013.

The centre is located in room P107. 

Students finishing up exams this month can switch modes right away into their job search with the help from services provided through the centre.

Open Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. for April and May and until 4:00 p.m. for June and July, the centre is a resource for any students looking for work for the summer.   Services are open to all students 15 – 30 years of age who are returning to school in the fall. 

In addition to finding new job postings on a daily basis at the centre, free workshops will also be delivered for clients including: resume development,  WHMIS, Health & Safety, Job Search Strategies and Interview skills.  Students can also access the posted listings at

Employers are encouraged to post summer job opportunities online at The Summer Jobs Service program benefits employers by providing a $2.00 per-hour wage incentive to those who hire a student during the summer.  Currently, over 150 employers from across the area access the program for funded positions.
