Summer Music Series brings entertainment to the area

One of area's longest musical traditions provides variety of genres

The Sisters of Soul will appear on August 15, 2016 at Canatara Park.

One of Sarnia’s longest musical traditions, Summer Music Series, returns for the year of 2016. The festivities will last from June 7 to August 24, allowing various genres of music and musicians to perform for the public.

The Summer Music Series can be seen at the Canatara Park bandshell, Kenwick on the Lake in Brights Grove, Music in the Garden: Germain Park, and Get Out of the Garage: Tecumseh Park.

From Celtic to country to jazz to rock music, musicians can be heard live. Performances from Sisters of Soul, Roundhouse, Parks and Recreation, Celtic Trio, Seaway Sounds, DC Project, and many more will be heard this year. The Get Out of the Garage is a special treat to those under the age of 21 to perform and show the community their musical talent.

This musical entertainment was originally named the Annual Waterfront Concert and Entertainment Series and has become a must-attend annual summer event. This free community event is to provide family-friendly entertainment.

Various musical performances and dance recitals can be seen and heard from all parts of Sarnia for the community to enjoy. For 27 years this special event has taken place, allowing the public to listen to the talents of fellow neighbours.
