It wasn’t long into a conversation with Lisa Isaac, who runs Lisa Isaac HR Professional Services from her base in Sarnia-Lambton, that she proved insight into the need for the scope of services she provides—and, more to the point, how she’s saving her clients time AND money over the long term.
“I’m less expensive than a lawyer,” she quipped, alluding to how increasingly complex (and costly, if a firm is found to be “out of compliance”) the various regulations and legislation related to human resources) has become.
Isaac, who is a member of the Sarnia Lambton Chamber of Commerce and the local chapter of the Human Resources Professionals Association, is also chairing the committee organizing the 2019 Outstanding Business Achievement Awards gala—which takes place on Friday, October 12, 2019.
In this episode of Spotlight, Isaac talks about how she took the initiative while in an HR role in Chemical Valley, having known ahead of time that the role would eventually be phased out.
It’s a fascinating discussion about how more than one professional “pivot” has worked out for Isaac.
