While this year’s Alzheimer’s Walk, sponsored by IG Wealth Management, will be a virtual event, organizers are hoping enthusiasm will remain for what is one of the Alzheimer Society’s biggest fundraisers.
With David Burrows, a local internet and live streaming personality as the Ambassador, the Sunday, May 31 event is being widely supported, with individuals (including Burrows) actively seeking sponsors.
“My family’s team goal is $2,000 and my personal goal is $500,” said Burrows. Anyone who wants to support his effort can click HERE.
More than half a million Canadians are living with dementia. By 2031, this number will increase to nearly a million.
Your donation will help fund the growing demand for programs and services offered through the Alzheimer Society. These services make all the difference in the way that people affected by dementia are able to manage the disease and live life to the fullest.
As part of the virtual walk, you can move your way: dance, walk your dog, jump rope, run or just climb the stairs, all while raising much-needed funds for dementia support programs in Sarnia-Lambton.
