Twenty years at helm of training cooperative comes to an end

barnfieldTwo decades ago, John Barnfield took on the job of making a great system even better.

He did just that, helping to reduce the incidence of injuries in area petrochemical plants through a cooperative training program that has reduced costs will improving consistency of training, in the process making it easier for employers and workers to get the job done.

The organization he has headed since 1993—the Sarnia Lambton Industrial Education Cooperative—is now tasked with the job of replacing the retiring Barnfield.

He'll have no trouble dealing with the extra time retirement will give him.

An active volunteer with Rayjon, an organization committed to improving conditions in Haiti, will continue to take up a good portion of his time.
