Two arrested for metal theft last week

Last week, Sarnia Police arrested and charged two Sarnia men, 25 and 35, in relation to their alleged involvement in recent metal thefts.

The suspects were arrested on Jun. 19 just before 9 p.m. at the Sarnia Police Service Headquarters on North Christina Street.

Police said the pair has been charged with various offences including Theft Under $5,000, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and Break and Enter.

The offences are said to have taken place between May 26 and Jun. 9.

The victims of the crimes are three different businesses located in Sarnia.

Both men were released from custody and will make their first appearance in court on Jul. 31 to speak to the charges.
