Urologist from Rwanda is visiting Bluewater Health

Doctor will spend four days in Sarnia as part of one-month clinical observation in Canada

Bluewater Health is welcoming Dr. Emmanuel Muhawenimana, a urologist from the Republic of Rwanda who is in Ontario for a one-month clinical observership for endo-urological procedures. He is spending four days at Bluewater Health, with the remainder of his time being at London Health Sciences Centre in London. Dr. Muhawenimana is one of eight urologists serving the population of approximately 12 million in the Republic of Rwanda.

Bluewater Health’s wait times for prostate cancer diagnosis and treatment are among the best in the province. With an average wait of 15 days, 100% of patients are seen by the specialist within the provincial target time of 35 days. In addition, 100% of patients receive treatment within the provincial target time of 84 days at Bluewater Health, with an average of 42 days.
