Wellings of Corunna, the 55+ living option that’s gaining in popularity, will be hosting a “Hockey Night in Corunna” event this Saturday, October 5, featuring NHL Alumni.
Attending the event, which begins at 4 p.m. with a panel discussion and Q&A, will be followed by a 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. “mingle” with panel members, including Kerry Fraser, a retired NHL referee; Jason York, a broadcaster/analyst who played defence for the Detroit Red Wings, Mighty Ducks of Anaheim, Ottawa Senators, Nashville Predators, and Boston Bruins; Murray Wilson, a forward who began with the Montreal Canadiens in 1971 and later with the Los Angeles Kings; and Patrick ‘Whitey” Stapleton, a veteran NHLer who first played for the Sarnia Legionnaires.
Following a 7 p.m. dinner, a game between the Montreal Canadiens and Toronto Maple Leafs will be shown on a jumbo screen at Wellings.
Tickets are $50 with proceeds going to Lambton Jr. Sting AAA, Mooretown Minor Hockey Association, The Lady Flags girls hockey t3eamj, as well as the Mike Weir Foundation for Mental Health.
