On Tuesday, January 30, 2018, at St. Joseph’s Hospice, Gary Williams passed away at the age of 68, listening to his favourite music and surrounded by his loving family. Gary worked as a mechanic in the Sarnia area during the Muscle Car era, later on working as a heavy duty mechanic in the Owen Sound area. Gary finished his career enjoying being an owner/ operator Trucking Co. and trucking with his buddies. In retirement, Gary put his interest for racing and cars back on the front burner with his love for antique cars and loved being a member of the Sarnia Street Machines. Forever loved and missed by his family; Lisa, Jamie, Arynn, Abby, Jenn, Darren, Sydney, Gavin, Jessica, Justin, Jack, and Shelby, and siblings; Margaret Conrad, Kathie Williams, and Lee Williams. Predeceased by his beloved wife Linda Williams (2004). Gary was surely welcomed to Heaven by his dear parents Ivan and Peg Williams.
Family and friends will be received on Friday, February 2, 2018, at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2018, at Smith Funeral Home, at 1:00 p.m. with visitation being held one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to St. Joseph’s Hospice (cheques only at the funeral home please).
