You’re on our New Year’s ‘wish list’

It's been an exciting year for as we celebrated our first year in operation (having gone "live" on Nov. 15  2010).

But we don't drive through the rearview mirror.

Looking ahead, there are all kinds of exciting things ahead, and in the spirit of embracing the community of Sarnia-Lambton (one of our core values), here's a sampling (and how you might be able to help):

Local content means local contributors

We operate in a format that gives us unlimited potential for content. We don't have to fill a certain number of pages. We won't say "sorry, we don't have room." Ever.

But what that means is we could use your help. We think it's quite likely you've got something to say, you know someone who's got a neat story, or you belong to an organization that needs and wants to tell others what it's doing to make our community a richer place.

Please don't hesitate to reach out. You can send me an e-mail here and I'll be sure to respond. Frankly, we delight in new contributors and reconnecting with old friends.

Specifically, we could use some help in the following areas:

Sports: Just remember, we're LOCAL. But that means we want to embrace all levels of local sports, high school, community teams, any sport whatsoever. Are you a fan with a burning desire to write? Let us know.

Features: Our community is FULL of interesting people with interesting stories. If you'd like to be part of the team, we'd love to hear from you.

From our very beginnings, we've been clear that our desire is to make this community a richer, more vibrant place, primarily through a different kind of media. It's a vision worth sharing and we hope you (or someone you know) agree.

We'd love to hear from you.
